For silk sheets a momme weight of 12-19 is considered good quality with silk sheets in the range of 16-19 being very high quality. 19 Momme silk is the smoothest, creamiest, and shiniest type of silk. They are more durable than the standard 16 momme and sandwashed habotai. Warning on Habutai silk is some suppliers sand was the silk to make it even softer. This greatly reduces the durability of the linen. For this reason we do not recommend sand washed silks at all.
